Qcd at Sld

This talk reviews seven SLD papers, which provide useful, unique, and precise contributions to our understanding of hadron production in the decay of Z's produced in ee collisions. The data were gathered by the SLAC Large Detector (SLD) at the SLAC Linear Collider (SLC). This accelerator/detector is able to compete with LEP in many studies, in spite of smaller statistics, due to systematic advantages including a tiny and stable interaction region combined with a precise high-resolution vertex detector, excellent particle identi cation, and a highly polarized electron beam. The papers include studies of: factorial and cumulant moments, charged multiplicities produced by b, c, and uds quarks, rapidity gaps, orientations and energy partitions of three-jet events, jet handedness, triple-product correlation in polarizedZdecays to three jets, and , K , p, K, and production in Z decays.
